NEFF, Clarence - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

  Clarence E. Neff of Oakwood, Illinois, age 60, died Monday afternoon, October 26, in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, Illinois. He was born at Oakwood, January 7, 1921, the son of Leonard and Bertha Van Allen Neff. March 1, 1940, he married Carol “Beakie” Wilder, who survives. A member of Hebron Methodist Church at Newtown, Illinois, he worked in the maintenance department at Tee-Pak, Inc., in Danville, Illinois.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Grimes of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Mrs. Janice Hack of Oakwood; his father of Newtown; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Rusk of Newport and Mrs. Leona Mitton of Kingman; a brother, Robert of Birmingham, Alabama; and five grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Thursday morning at the Hebron Methodist Church with Johnson Funeral Home of Oakwood in charge. Rev. Jerry Watkins and Rev. Robert Samuels officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Oakwood. – s
